What is it that keeps you creating? What do you feel is your main drive, or compulsion towards making art?

Creating – primarily writing, poetry – is an essential part of my being. If I go through a spell of not writing, I feel the effects on my Being .. and thus, drawing helps me to work past blockages, to center and calm my self / Self ...

Do you strictly work with pen and ink? Or is that just one of many mediums?

No, I also work in colored pencil (Faber-Castell – the softness of the lead allows for easy blending of colors). Both of these media are easy to carry in a knapsack.  I also love watercolor, but for the expense ....

And, lastly: If you could go to a dinner party with three other artists/writers/creatives, living or dead, who would they be? (And which of you, do you think, would be cooking?)

Uff! What a wonderful question! Paul Klee ... Anthony Bourdain ... Georgia O'Keefe ... Who'd be cooking? No doubt, Bourdain.
